I recently stayed at Café des Arts Gili Air in the heart of Gili Air, a charming spot run by a French couple. The lush garden and communal hangout area were perfect for enjoying the delicious breakfast, tailored to my needs. The staff, particularly Chloe and Anung, were friendly and full of great tips for exploring the island.The rooms were cozy, clean, and comfortable, adorned with tasteful decorations that showed attention to detail. Despite the wet floors in the bathroom, a minor inconvenience common in the area, the overall experience was fantastic. The eco-friendly practices, like offering cheap water bottle refills, resonated with my commitment to sustainable travel.The location was excellent, just a few minutes' walk from the harbor and one of the best beaches for swimming and snorkeling. The lack of AC in the room was no issue, as the fan kept things cool. The variety of breakfast options, from pancakes to smoothie bowls, made each morning a delightful surprise. The owners even went above and beyond to provide recommendations and assist with transportation.I appreciated the relaxed atmosphere at The Hangout, where I could easily connect with other travelers and unwind after a day of exploring. It's a beautiful space with a cozy vibe, perfect for those looking to discover the area with the help of friendly staff and like-minded guests.
